Unbeaten in their opening three Betway Premiership fixtures, Kaizer Chiefs are eager to keep their strong start alive. Defender Zitha Kwinika insists that maintaining positive momentum is essential as Amakhosi prepare to face Richards Bay FC on Wednesday evening.
Chiefs have collected seven points from a possible nine recording two wins and a draw and Kwinika believes the formula for sustained success is simple: keep winning.

“Obviously, to keep the momentum is for us to get positive results. I think that’s the best way to keep the momentum,” Kwinika told the Chiefs media on Tuesday afternoon. “Getting good results, mainly winning games—that’s the only way to keep the momentum going, the environment, the confidence.”
The center-back highlighted the psychological boost that comes with a winning streak, emphasizing how a strong team culture builds resilience over a long season.
“Getting used to winning is important because it creates an environment of winners, and winners get stronger by the day,” Kwinika observed.
Looking ahead to Wednesday night’s clash, Kwinika issued a passionate rallying cry to the Amakhosi faithful, urging them to paint the stands gold and black.
“To the Amakhosi faithful, we plead with them to come support us in numbers,” he added. “We know they are always with us, and them being behind us gives us a very big edge. So we invite them in numbers to come, fill up the stadium, and support us. We will definitely give them the results they require.”
The match takes place at the Princess Magogo Stadium, with kick-off scheduled for 19:30.
