Msendami Confirms Chiefs And Pirates Interest

Msendami said the interest from both clubs was concrete, though nothing came out of that.

JOHANNESBURG – With reports linking Zimbabwean striker Daniel Msendami to both Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates before he joined Marumo Gallants, the striker has now confirmed that both Soweto giants showed interest in him.

Talking to journalists in Morocco after Zimbabwe’s 3-2 loss to Bafana Bafana at the Afcon tournament, Msendami said the interest from both clubs was concrete, though nothing came out of that.

“For me, the way I heard it, I think it was concrete, but I didn’t put it on my mind because if they really were interested in me, they were going to take me. But for me, I’ll just keep on pushing. I’ll go where I’m needed and I’ll try and push very hard and try to score more goals in the league and continue playing well like this,” he said.

Asked if he would like to leave Gallants and move to a bigger club, the Zimbabwean said that’s what every player plays for.

“Definitely, we play for that. We play to go to the top leagues. We play for big teams, but definitely I’ll keep on pushing. I’ll push very hard and I hope this time I’ll get a better offer somewhere, where I can go on a high level and showcase my talent,” Msendami said.

In conclusion, he said that his contract at Marumo Gallants will be coming to an end soon.
“Yeah, my contract is expiring soon, but I’m not yet clear. I don’t know what is happening exactly, but I’ll keep on pushing,” he concluded.
