    Karabo Ngoepe is the publisher of The African Chronicle, covering politics, elections, business and energy. He has more than 15 years of experience in journalism and media, with bylines and roles at IOL, News24, SAPA, HuffPost South Africa, Forbes Africa and Jacaranda FM, and has worked with Rubicon Media Group in Eswatini.

    Sphiwe Masilela is a reporter at The African Chronicle covering breaking and general news across South Africa and the region, from fuel prices and crime and justice to health, science and sport.
  • Benjamin Nyirenda
    Sports Reporter
    Benjamin Nyirenda covers football for The African Chronicle, reporting on the Premiership, the MTN8 and other cup competitions, and South African clubs in the CAF Champions League, with a close eye on Kaizer Chiefs, Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns.

    Abbey Makoe is a columnist at The African Chronicle, writing on international relations, geopolitics and Africa's place in a changing world order. He is the founder of the Global South Media Network and a former Political Editor of the SABC. Over a long career he has held senior editorial roles at Sowetan, The Star, Drum and the Sunday Independent, reported for Time magazine and served at South Africa's High Commission in London.

He has served as Editor of The Southern Times in Namibia and The Sunday Mail in Zimbabwe, and contributor for New African, bringing deep regional insight and a strong track record in shaping cross-border public discourse.
