The legendary striker enjoyed an explosive stint in South Africa with Jomo Cosmos that catapulted his career into the limelight across African football, before earning a multi-million rand transfer to FC Rostov.

He became the first-ever Malawian to play in the UEFA Champions League when he turned out for Lokomotiv Moscow and went on to ply his trade in the country for eight years – before a brief stint in Denmark.

He eventually returned to South Africa in 2012 with Polokwane City and then ended his professional career in his homeland with Mighty Wanderers between 2017 and 2019. It is believed that the legend suffered from liver cancer.
