“As you can see, I’m not the only one who is improving. There are a lot of players who are improving with the quality that we have in the team.”
Appollis: There is a lot of work still to be done

Orlando Pirates winger Oswin Appollis has hit the ground running since joining the club from Polokwane City at the start of the season, though the Bafana Bafana player believes there is still a lot of work to be done.
Addressing the media on Tuesday afternoon at the Rand Stadium in Johannesburg ahead of their Carling Knockout finals against Marumo Gallants on Saturday at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane, Appollis said that he is not the only one improving at the club, as most players are improving as well.
“There is a lot of work still to be done. It is obvious there have been improvements in the team with all the players that have been signed. For me, I have to continue doing my job and with the players that we have and the quality that they have, it has also helped me as a person. As you can see, I’m not the only one who is improving. There are a lot of players who are improving with the quality that we have in the team,” Appollis observed.

In addition, the former Polokwane City player further added that the quality at the club is also helping him improve his game.
“I think with the quality of the players that the club has with its depth, as you can see and I will mention names like Rele (Mofokeng), Spola (Mbule), Tshepang (Moremi), it is already a step for us who came here new. We already have to deal with the quality in the team, so it is for you to adapt to the style of play and then eventually you will improve,” Appollis told journalists.
Since joining the club at the beginning of the season, Appollis has been a regular for coach Abdeslam Ouaddou both in the Betway Premiership as well as in different cup competitions. He has also been a regular in Hugo Broos’s Bafana Bafana and he is part of the Afcon squad.
