Pirates Reinforce Squad with Marumo Gallants Duo Ahead of League Restart

JOHANNESBURG – Orlando Pirates have moved decisively in the transfer market, confirming the signing of Daniel Msendami and Mpho Chabatsane from Marumo Gallants as they prepare for the second half of the 2025/26 Betway Premiership season.
The Soweto giants announced that agreements have been reached with Gallants for both players, with the deals concluded on a permanent and immediate basis. Pirates also acknowledged the role played by Gallants’ management, describing the negotiations as professional and constructive.
Once all administrative clearances are finalised, the two new recruits are expected to join the Pirates squad in the North West Province, where the team is currently holding a training camp under head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou and his technical team.

The club believes the additions will bring depth and renewed competition within the squad at a critical stage of the season, as Pirates look to remain competitive on multiple fronts.
Chabatsane is widely seen as a replacement for defender Mbekezeli Mbokazi, who recently departed the club, while Msendami arrives with valuable international exposure after representing Zimbabwe at the Africa Cup of Nations. His performances at the continental tournament have added to expectations around what he could offer in midfield.
